AIRS Milestones

1992

 

Kajima Inc., one of the largest construction contractors in Japan, begins its research and development for an air cycle system for the Bobsled-Luge course of 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games.

 

 

 

1993

 

The principal of a machine was developed. It was displayed at an international fair in Sapporo, Japan.

 

 

 

1994

 

The system was displayed at a refrigerant show in Nuremberg Germany(IKK).

 

 

 

1995

 

Kajima begin it's development of air cycle system for refrigerated warehouse.

 

 

 

1996

 

It was taken to interest by Kanematsu Food storage in Kachidoki Tokyo.

 

 

 

1996-1997

 

Kajima developed the freezer, “AIRS” for the refrigerated warehouse

 

 

 

1998-2000

 

A few of the first AIRS installations:

 

 

  • Ishiwatari Store in Kesenuma
  • Life Partnership Union in Turuoka city in Yamagata Prefecture.
  • Chugai Freezing Inc in Yokohama city in Kanagawa Prefecture
  • Nippon Ham’s Factory in Ibaragi Prefecture.
  • Ankopesca Fishery in Ancona Italy.

2001

 

Earthship Co,.Ltd. was officially formed and the company acquired the technology from Kajima.

 

 

 

2002

 

Earthship developed a more advanced air cycle system that is not only more cost effective but also runs more efficiently.

 

 

 

2003

 

AIRS50 AIR CYCLE SYSTEM prototype is ready and tested.

 

 

 

2004

 

Earthship launches the AIRS50 model to the North American and European market.
